One of my university classmate traveled Taipei, at that time I was in Taipei too, suggested to eat spicy hotpot here.
Walking distance from MRT Nanjing Fuxing station. We went there at 11pm but quite a lot of customers eating. But a fancy hotpot restaurant, 30 years history already.
Normal hotpot ingredients to choose, drinks have beer, soft drinks, tea, apple cider, plum soup and beer, have to take the drinks at their fridge by ourselves.
Two flavor soup base – numbing spicy and pork bone soup. Nothing special about the pork bone soup one but their numbing spicy is good, strong but not too much aroma of Sichuan pepper, not too oily and spicy. I love their duck blood, smooth and tasty.
Beef and ostrich meat. I didn’t have ostrich meat, the beef slices here are quite large in size, tender in texture after cooking in hotpot.
Beef organs, if you like to eat, they’re actually good with the numbing spicy soup taste.
Meat balls, we ordered beef balls, spicy pork meat balls, squid meat balls and shrimp ones. Not very bouncy but the flavors are all natural and not too salty.
If you like spicy hotpot recommend you to visit here. Price is reasonable, I ate 700NT with quite a lot of food and drinks.
